Alex and Gianluca are sweet, young, New-York natives who both grew up just blocks from The Carlyle Hotel – a historic site, host of the Met-Gala after parties, and curator of art and culture (my favorite being the strategically-placed wallpaper and drawings by author-illustrator Ludwig Bemelmans, for which the hotel's famous bar was named). Having both spent their childhoods and now adulthood visiting The Carlyle, it only made sense that they would choose this iconic space for their wedding celebration. From Cafe Carlyle for the ceremony, to the Tea Room for cocktail hour, Dowling's for dinner, and capping the evening at Bemelmans for the after party, there was no shortage of magic at every turn. What a privilege it was to document this one.
